About us

Nestled on one hundred and eleven acres of rich grazing pasture, Barberry is a large farm with a personal touch. We welcome all riding disciplines, and get to know not only each horse, but each rider, to offer an individualized experience in a casual atmosphere.

Here, we have 5 barns, 50 stalls, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and access to miles of trails. Yet our pride is our pastures. Horses enjoy extended turnout time on ample grass with plenty of room to roam, appealing to their natural grazing instincts.

When weather prevents turnout, your horse will be safe inside a sizable stall with generous hay portions. Barberry produces tens of thousands of our own bales each year, with an eye on nutrition and quality to keep our horses in peak condition.

Conveniently located in the rolling hills just north of Pittsburgh, riders can easily balance horse ownership in their busy lives. And with decades of proven care on a pristine landscape, there is nowhere your horse would rather be.
